Problems that Spanish speakers face when learning English

Most of the people tend to believe that the English language is among those that can be easily learned. It's definitely not as difficult as Chinese or Greek, since it's based on the Latin alphabet. Therefore, it shares common features with many Roman languages. As the most common second language to learn, with so many professional and cultural incentives to become fluent, English is often touted as one of the easiest foreign languages.

However, there are many aspects of the language that can be more difficult to understand than the pronunciation appears.

Pronunciation is one aspect of English that many students recognize as one of the most challenging features when starting out. The unique phonetic/voicing system used in English imposes linguistic obstacles in the learning process.

Correct pronunciation and spelling is a constant problem not only for non-native students but also for native speakers. Perhaps not surprising, considering that English has 205 spellings for its 44 sounds.
